JOB RESPONSIBLE :

  • Developing and implementing health and safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to the warehouse environment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices related to waste management, pollution prevention, and other environmental aspects.
  • Providing health and safety training to employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities, and communicating safety information effectively.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the warehouse facility, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Developing and implementing emergency plans and procedures, conducting drills, and ensuring the availability of emergency equipment.
  • Working collaboratively with warehouse management, employees, and other stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices, and updating policies and procedures accordingly.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills : To effectively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : To effectively communicate with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations : To understand the specific hazards and risks associated with warehouse activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations : To ensure compliance and implement effective safety measures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently : To effectively manage the HSE function and contribute to a positive safety culture.
  • Very good communication (spoking and writing) in English.
