Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our clients Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) asset in Angola. In this critical leadership position, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical and logistics professionals, overseeing a multi-million dollar maintenance budget, and ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant performance of the FPSO facility.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the technical and logistics departments supporting FPSO operations, including maintenance, materials / supply chain, and field services

Oversee an annual maintenance budget of approximately $18 million, ensuring cost-effective and efficient spending

Serve as the primary liaison between offshore FPSO leadership and the central technical team, communicating on operational issues, asset integrity, and maintenance planning

Prepare weekly and monthly reports on FPSO performance for senior management

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and the client to deliver projects and services required for FPSO operations

Define functional requirements for design changes and assist with the Management of Change (MOC) process

Ensure FPSO activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience :

8+ years of experience in technical or maintenance management roles within the offshore oil and gas industry, preferably with FPSO operations

Strong background in managing budgets, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and interfacing with clients

Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical information effectively

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with maintenance / operations software

Willingness to live and work in Angola, with the ability to travel to the offshore location as required
