DNV – Maritime Station Africa is seeking Surveyor to join our Angola Marine Surveyor Team. As a Marine Surveyor you will be a member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and auditors serving various major customers in Maritime industry, including shipyards.
Key responsibilities :
- Fleet in service surveys according to rules and regulations on ships and offshore units
- In the future, the incumbent will be trained to support other service lines within maritime (Certification of Materials and Components, Approval of Service Suppliers).
- Manage clients together with other relevant parts of our organization
- Follow up periodical surveys and assessments in yards and onboard vessels

Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering from Technical University / Equivalent Maritime Qualifications.Minimum 3 years of maritime industry experience.Relevant FiS and SMS MTAS and Offshore will be an advantage.Strong interpersonal and networking skills.Self-driven and highly engaged professional.Quick learner and data-smart.Problem-solving and analytical skills.Team player but able to work independently on surveys.Ability to work well under stressful conditions.Fluency in English and Portuguese language.Possession of a valid driving license.Flexible working schedule, incl. occasionally attending surveys after normal working hours, weekends or public holidaysAvailability for offshore work and occasional international travel.
