Position Summary
Start Date 25 / 04 / 2026 - Fixed Term 3 Months
To perform and oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT methods during Turnaround (TAR) operations at an onshore LNG plant. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications to maintain asset integrity and operational reliability.
Duties And Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
- Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for welds, corrosion mapping, and thickness measurements.
- Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) using gamma or X-ray sources, ensuring proper film interpretation and radiation safety compliance.
- Execute Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) for surface and near-surface defect detection on ferromagnetic materials.
- Carry out Penetrant Testing (PT) for surface-breaking defects on non-ferrous and ferrous materials.
- Perform Visual Testing (VT) of welds, components, and structural elements in accordance with applicable codes.
- Review and interpret NDT results, prepare inspection reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all NDT activities comply with ASME, API, ISO, and site-specific standards.
- Coordinate with QA / QC, maintenance, and TAR planning teams to schedule and execute inspections.
- Maintain calibration records and certification of NDT equipment.
- Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and toolbox talks related to inspection activities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
PCN / CSWIP / ASNT - RT - level 2 - Radiographic Testing. (Conventual, Digital, Real Time)PCN / CSWIP / ASNT - UT - level 2 - Ultrasonic Testing (limited or full).PCN / CSWIP / ASNT - MT - level 2 - Magnetic Particle Testing.PCN / CSWIP / ASNT - PT - level 2 - Dye / Liquid Penetrant Testing.PDQ certifiedPMI and vibration testing trainedIRConfined Space Entry with PracticalOGUK MedicalRadiation Safety certification for RT operations (if applicable).Minimum 5 years of experience in NDT inspection, with at least 2 years in LNG or oil & gas sector.Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO, and other relevant standards.NOTE : Third Party ASNT certificate holders will be required to undergo Oceaneering Certificate, and successful completion is a mandatory requirement to acquire this position. Field-based role in an onshore LNG plant during Turnaround (TAR) operations. Requires working in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and exposure to high-temperature equipment.
Strict adherence to PPE usage and safety protocols is mandatory.
