Position Summary
The Asset Integrity (AI) Analyst is responsible for the implementation of the Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Program and acts as the Technical Authority for any issues pertaining to pressurized equipment. The role supports Operations in developing corrective actions when assets may be functioning outside tolerable levels of Health, Safety or Environmental risk, or could threaten a Loss of Production. This demands a high level of interface with cross-functional teams, utilizing a wide range of processes, workflows, and technologies. The AI Analyst is expected to demonstrate high standards of excellence in condition assessment, risk management and development of repair strategies, and will seek to continually improve processes that impact the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production assets.
As this position requires a substantial level of formal and experiential training in Inspection Engineering, the AI Analyst also directs and actively participates in the ongoing training and development of subordinates, with special emphasis on National employees.
Duties And Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
- Development of Impact, Major Capital Project and Maintenance Turnaround Work Scope
- Reviews Scope generated by Inspectors and Lead Inspectors
- Review Work Packs and QCPs
- Assure all Scope Freeze milestones are met
- Develop staffing plans for Turnarounds (Inspectors and NDE Technicians)
- Attend Impact Meetings, Peer Reviews, Scope Challenges as Core Team Member
- Assure all VWR’s are considered in scope review (confirm priority or have Ops complete the review)
- Assist with the development of AIR work processes and procedures
- Implement special inspection programs (CUI, Greylock, IR surveys, etc.)
- Worst Actor Management
- Pre-Paint Inspections
- Provide VWRs for mechanical repairs prior to scheduled blast & paint program
- Set the work priorities for the Lead Inspectors and Understudies
- Mentor the Lead Inspectors and Understudies
- Set the daily / monthly / yearly work priorities (Tactical Plans aligned with IPP)
- Assist with Management of Contract NDE Inspectors
- Improve Efficiency of NDE work (Surfers, POB, etc.)
- Perform Technical Reviews of the work generated by Lead Inspectors and Understudies
- Assure all inspections are documented and completed in visions
- Perform Level I FFS Evaluations
- Initiate Level II & III FFS evaluations
- Effectively communicate with Key Customers and Stakeholders (Ops, FE, Impact, etc.)
- Increase the sense of urgency for critical items (especially IC1 & IC2 equipment)
- Support NCR Process as Team Member
- Provide information to NCR Champion so Short- & Long-Term Corrective actions are generated
- Track status of NCR’s and Corrective Actions
- Support TLR Management Process
- Support PSV Management Process
- Generate E-1 Work orders for all VWRs
- Lead and or Participate in Incident Investigations (5-Why and RCA)
- Review, Modify and Maintain Inspection, Testing & Planned Maintenance plans
- Participate in the Angolanization plan (Mentor, Train and Coach National Work Force)
- API Training & Certification
- English Emersion Training
- ASNT TC-1A Training (NDE MT / PT / UT / RT)
- Continually update Team Leader with findings and daily updates to AIR Suptd.
- Develop solutions to problems and issues within work group
Safety
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.
Actively participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks as required by company and client.
Ensure that all Safety procedures are always adhered to and that required documentation is kept updated.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

This position is considered ONSHORE-OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows :
Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over / near water
Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment
Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels
Potential exposure to open fire / flames / sparks.
Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
Work surface is stable, height is elevated
