Job Description:

Our client, a leading provider of marine and geotechnical solutions in Angola, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across its Marine Surveys & Geotechnical Services division.

The role focuses on developing new business, managing key client relationships, securing project opportunities, and supporting commercial growth across the marine, offshore, dredging, and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, port authorities, and offshore operators.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the marine, offshore, dredging, and infrastructure sectors.
• Monitor tenders, RFQs, and upcoming project opportunities.
• Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals.
• Support contract negotiations and commercial strategy.
• Work closely with technical and operational teams during bid preparation and project delivery.
• Build strategic partnerships and contribute to revenue growth and market expansion.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Qualification in marine engineering, hydrography, geotechnical engineering, surveying, coastal engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Fluent Portuguese and English communication skills.
• Proven business development experience within the marine, offshore, dredging, geotechnical, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with an established industry network.
• Experience preparing tenders, proposals, and commercial submissions.
• Good understanding of marine survey, hydrographic, geotechnical, or offshore operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Previous experience in Angola or other similar African markets would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Contractual Information:

• 1 year renewable contract, with the potential for a permanent contract following 2 years of service.
• Residential basis with 3 return trips per annum.
