Aker Solutions are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join their team. In this role, you will assist the Lead or Principal Engineer in meeting project requirements and executing technical duties with efficiency and expertise. You will also ensure compliance with Aker Solutions’ values, systems, and processes, including PEM and AKIiMS, to uphold operational excellence.

Organisational Responsibilities :

  • Act as Task Lead Engineer when assigned.
  • Assist in preparing CTR’s and man-hour estimates using AKIMS.
  • Execute technical tasks professionally and per company procedures.
  • Ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Review, check, and ensure project deliverables are generated via AKIMS.
  • Support lead / principal engineers in planning and coordinating work activities.
  • Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication, and commissioning.
  • Supervise and direct subordinate engineers.
  • Assist in compiling weekly progress reports via AKIMS.
  • Provide technical direction to drawing office personnel.
  • Cover for the Principal Engineer when required.
  • Attend relevant meetings.

Task Lead Responsibilities :

  • Oversee multi-discipline / single-discipline engineering modifications or project scopes.
  • Manage and define scope of work per client requirements.
  • Accountable for CTR’s and man-hour productivity across disciplines.

    • Technical Responsibilities :

  • Develop engineering concepts into detailed designs.
  • Conduct manual and computer analysis.
  • Prepare CTR estimates and construction / installation procedures.
  • Proficient in engineering software (STAADPro, Mathcad); basic knowledge of design software (PDMS, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
  • Apply relevant structural design codes (AISC, API RP 2A).
  • Prepare formal structural design reports and technical input for construction workpacks.
  • Review vendor information, conduct inspections and testing.
  • Perform discipline checks and reviews, including weight estimates.
  • Conduct onshore / offshore surveys and resolve site queries.

    Qualifications

  • Educated to HNC / HND level in engineering discipline
  • Educated to degree level in engineering discipline
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer

    • Specific Training / Specialist Skills

  • Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
  • Conversant with appropriate technical software
  • Aware of latest technical developments
  • Current Offshore Survival Certificate.
  • Current Offshore Medical Certificate.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
