VersaTech is an Automation company with over 500 people and $75M+ in annual sales. VersaTech offers Instrumentation and Electrical services to the oil and gas market including construction, maintenance, commissioning and loop checking.  VersaTech has offices in Houston, Dilley, Midland, New Orleans, Africa, and Dubai.  Our scope of work includes both onshore and offshore projects in the US and overseas.

VersaTech has openings for a Multi-Phase Flow Metering Measurement Technicians at our Angolan Affiliate, TEST Angola.  This position is a 28 / 28 rotation schedule in Angola Africa.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Must have extensive experience working with Multi Phase Flow Meters.  This includes Installing, Commissioning, Calibrating and the Ongoing Maintenance of these device.  Preferably, experience with the Roxar 2600.

Secondary Responsibilities :

  • Knowledge and experience of Liquid and Gas Measurement Principles
  • Perform scheduled calibrations, troubleshooting, repair and installation of Electronic Flow Measurement equipment
  • Provides training and mentoring of National Measurement Employees
  • Maintains API Standards, Strategies, and other governance documents
  • Schedule, coordinate, perform and / or witness meter proving of custody transfer meters, control meters, and densitometers.
  • Assists with new meter installations, routine maintenance, and ad-hoc break down maintenance for measurement systems (fiscal and allocation metering equipment).
  • Maintain meter factor and densitometer trend data and perform and / or coordinate measurement equipment calibrations.
  • Maintains company documentation and tracking system for calibrations records. Also includes monthly reporting of activities and maintenance requirements.
  • Typical devices include the following :
  • Flow, Liquid, Gas (Turbine, Coriolis, USM, Mag, Venturi, Orifice Plate, Ultrasonic Flow Meters).
  • Density – Liquid, Gas ( Densitometers),
  • Sampling – Liquid, Gas ( Manual, Automatic)
  • Other Instrumentation such as Pressure and Temperature reading devices.
  • Coordinates with the customers Measurement Department and Production Department as required, and provides support for volume discrepancies
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of over / short measurement situations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by customer and / or the company

    • Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Experience Installing, Calibrating, Troubleshooting, and Maintaining Multi Phase Flow Meters
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Measurement Tech in the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to use Windows based PC Systems to prepare reports and complete and organize paperwork to track calibrations of equipment
  • Knowledge of the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of measurement equipment
  • Ability to think critically, troubleshoot problems and evaluate solutions
